Confident In My Curves – Connecticut Boudoir

Jessica braved the boudoir in the summer of 2019 and we had a blast! We asked her the reason for having a boudoir session. She said “I wanted to do a boudoir photo shoot for my fiance for our anniversary but once I was there and my hair and makeup was completed I knew I needed to do this for myself.”

We’ve reached out to some of our past clients to find out what motivated them to have a boudoir photo shoot and how they felt about the experience we provided them. Jessica responded to our message and was excited to share what motivated her and how she felt about the experience.

Knowing that many women would love to experience a day all about them where they can feel beautiful and pampered but are nervous about having their photograph taken. We also know that it can sometimes take a women weeks, months and even years to find the courage to contact us. We asked Jessica how long it took before she was ready to have her photo session. Her answer was, “Within a week of seeing a friend’s photos I contacted Marilyn.” We asked what the main reasons were that prevented her from having a boudoir session sooner and she said “From when I booked the photo shoot and the date I chose was based on my schedule and I wanted to hit the gym more. The gym did not happen and I am perfectly OK with that!”

We asked if she had any fears on the day of her shoot and if so, what were they? Jessica’s answer was “I had no fears. I love being in front of a camera.” So, we asked how she felt after her session was over and she told us, “EMPOWERED! I felt that way because I am able to say I feel more confident in my curves and my body shape. The black and white photos definitely showed them off and I love them even more!”

We asked Jessica, if she were asked by a friend if they should have a boudoir shoot, what would she say to them now? Her response was, “YES, YES, YES!!! I believe everyone should do this at least once in their lifetime. Even guys!”
