WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION

CONSULTATION SESSION

We’ll meet at my studio prior to your session to discuss your expectations, give you a tour of the space and answer any questions you may have. I’ll also provide your welcome package which includes information to guide you through the days of preparation before your shoot.

HAIR & MAKEUP

Your day begins with professional hair and makeup starting at 9:00 a.m. Hair and makeup will take place as you enjoy a favorite beverage and usually lasts for around 2 hours.

WARDROBE

We’ll talk about what clothing you should bring for your shoot and show you our selection of gowns, lingerie, shoes, jewelry and props that you can borrow for your session.

SNACKS & BEVERAGES

During the day, you can enjoy soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea or water. We also provide a craft station of light snacks for you to munch on throughout the day.

DIRECTED PHOTOSHOOT

Getting to know what makes you comfortable before I ever take a picture is incredibly important to me. I will be directing you through all of your poses and talking you through each step of the process during your shoot.

ARTISTIC RETOUCHING

Every image presented to you will be fully retouched to make you look your very best. We will discuss editing with you before your session so that we stay true to your expectations.

PORTRAIT REVEAL SESSION

Approximately two weeks after your shoot, I’ll invite you back to my studio for your reveal and ordering session. You’ll be able to choose your favorite images and how you’d like them printed.

FINANCING IS AVAILABLE

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, credit cards and Paypal payments. Payment plan options are also available and can be discussed during your consultation and reveal sessions.

   Everyone should do this at least once in their lifetime. What an enjoyable experience! Marilyn is warm and welcoming; I immediately felt comfortable. She has a fantastic studio with many different settings to suit your taste. It’s located in a beautiful rural area; I felt like I was on a country estate. The photos are gorgeous!    Exceptional Experience! I chose the all day lingerie photo shoot. I was greeted with smiles, a makeup/hairstylist and a small buffet. The studio provides an assortment of settings for elegant, becoming photos with a private dressing room! I felt like a movie star!    I've been wanting to do a boudoir shoot for quite some time now and have heard of menagerie photography from a close friend of mine who had an awesome experience so I figured id give it a shot! I must say I have never felt so good in my own skin! I felt so amazing and marilyn and tanya were so much fun to work with.    An absolutely wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone and everyone! It was not only a comfortable session/day but an empowering one! As a plus size woman being able to feel confident, comfortable, and WORTHY in my body and sexy clothing is more important to me than anything else and it doesn't happen often.    I had a fantastic experience with Marilyn (the photographer/owner) and Tonya (the make-up artist). My pictures came out fantastic, but almost as importantly, they made the experience fun and comfortable. My pictures are beautiful and sexy.    My experience with Menagerie Photography, Marilyn, was absolutely perfect!! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. The entire experience is tailored to you as well as your vision for shoot; music,snacks, hair, make-up, poses, and inclusion of special items. She has the ability to make you feel comfortable fast, the trust in her eye for what she does is noted quickly so it puts you at ease. Also, an added convinence, she has a boutique on site....my stuff did not arrive by the day of shoot. She had everything I needed and then some.
